AUSTIN, Texas Real Estate Market Update – According to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) report released by the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR), Austin-area single-family home prices in December 2016 have decreased vs the prices of homes in 2015. The report revealed that the average list price for Austin-area single-family homes decreased by 1.6% making the average listing price on homes $482,839 and homes remained on the market for an average of only 51 days. The report also revealed that the number of homes sold in in the Austin area decreased by 14%, for a total of 817 homes sold.
